نبذة عن المجلس البريطاني :

المجلس البريطاني هو منظمة بريطانية مختصّة بالفرص الثقافية والتعليمية الدولية. يعمل في أكثر من 100 دولة على تعزيز المعرفة بالمملكة المتحدة واللغة الإنجليزية، ويشجع على التعاون الثقافي والعلمية والتكنولوجي والتعليمي مع المملكة المتحدة، ويسعى لتغيير حياة الناس من خلال الوصول إلى التعليم والمهارات والمؤهلات والثقافة والمجتمع في المملكة المتحدة. المجلس مسجّل كهيئة خيرية في إنجلترا وويلز وسكوتلاندا ويحكمه الميثاق الملكي. كما أنه مؤسسة عامة وهيئة تنفيذية عامة غير حكومية.، تراعاه وزارة الخارجية ومكتب الكومنولث. يقع مقره في ساحة ترافلغار في لندن. الرئيس هو كريستوفر رودريغيز والرئيس التنفيذي هو السير سياران ديفان، كبير الموظفين هو أدريان غرير.

عملنا في التعليم والمجتمع والفنون

نعمل في ثلاثة مجالات رئيسية ألا وهي التعليم والمجتمع والفنون. ويدعم عملنا ضمن هذه المجالات في مصر موضوعي “التوظيف” و”الصوت”، بحيث نُحدث فرقاً حقيقياً في حياة الأشخاص الذين نعمل معهم. وتكمن مهمتنا في بناء علاقات قوية وحيوية تتيح الفرص للشباب لدعم طموحنا المشترك نحو تحقيق مستقبل أكثر استقراراً وازدهاراً.

عملنا في الفنون

في مصر، نعمل مع المؤسسات الفنية لمساعدتها على بناء علاقات مع نظرائها في المملكة المتحدة واكتشاف إمكانات العمل والتعاون معهم. كما ندعم إقامة المهرجانات لتقديم الفنانين البريطانيين ونساعد المهرجانات البريطانية للفنون لإدراج العروض المصرية ضمن برامجها.

كما أننا نركز بشكل قوي على الاقتصاد الإبداعي، و نعمل مع الشركاء المحليين لدعم وضع السياسات، وإقامة الشراكات والترويج للفنون، وتنظيم المشاريع وبناء القدرات، وإعداد الدراسات ووضع الخطط لإقامة المشاريع، بالإضافة إلى توفيرالمزيد من المراجع والمصادر باللغة العربية.

عملنا في التعليم

نعمل على إنشاء الروابط بين المدارس في مصر والممكلة المتحدة لإثراء التعليم والترويج للمواطنة العالمية وبناء الثقة والتفاهم الدوليين، كما ندعم الحوار والشراكات الدولية بين مؤسسات التعليم العالي والمنظمات ونساعد الطلاب الذين يرغبون في استكمال دراستهم في الخارج. ونعمل أيضاً في مجال التعليم المهني من أجل تحسين النظم التعليمية والتدريبية وتمكينها من الاستجابة بشكل أفضل لمتطلبات السوق واحتياجات المتعلمين.

صُممت أغلب أعمالنا وتم سليمها من قبل المصريين للمصريين. نحن نوظف خبراء محليين ويؤثر عملنا الممول بالمنح على المصريين في جميع الـ 27 محافظة، مع التركيز على تنمية المهارات في التعليم والفنون والرياضة والمشاريع التنمويه الاجتماعية.
يتمتع المجلس الثقافي البريطاني بتاريخ طويل من المشاركات الإيجابيه مع الحكومات والقطاع الخاص والمنظمات غير الحكومية و الدولية ، وهو ملتزم بشكل خاص بالتنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.

Exams Finance Officer

Location: Cairo, Middle East and North Africa, EG

Role Purpose


Carry out day-to-day duties pertaining to exams operational finance and financial data analysis for planning. Assist the country exams team with administration and financial management of exams products, programmes and projects.


Main Accountabilities:

Financial Duties


  • Monitor running cost expenditure (including devolved budgets) against agreed budgets; perform weekly/monthly line items checks Identify any discrepancies in the financial reports
  • Validate & process all Off-line Payments before submitted to Financial Controller.
  • Park/post Transfer & Refund payments on SAP and reviewing supporting documentation to ensure it is done according to exams refund policy and Exams internal refund process.
  • Ensure the correct WBS’s and GLs are used to post expenses and Income. Responsible for parking/posting corrective journal entries where necessary
  • Debts over 30 days are chased and up-to-date information maintained according to Debtor Policy.
  • Preparation & post monthly accruals, support preparation of cash flow forecasts, and planning and forecasting exercise 
  • Prepare Exams Income reconciliation reports and ensure they are completed on time and in the format assigned comparing the expected income to the cash collected.
  • Identify exams bank income both GBP and local currency and take appropriate steps to match and maintain the Business Partner Account
  • Create board PRs on SAP and ensure P2P compliance within exams team, work closely with PO releaser and Market Place to ensure all transactions are in line with procurement policy & Controls.
  • Validate ESO’s confirmation on each examination board invoice against schools registration report, and sales Invoices sent to schools in order to make the mirroring between income & Expenditure
  •  Make GR for examination board PO lines on the system based on the above-mentioned process & after getting the confirmation of receiving the service from the operational officers
  • Match the board fee invoices with the sales invoices issued to the customers to make sure that the related income has been collected before processing the board fee invoices
  • Scan Board fee invoices & send it to HUB team in order to be IR-ed & paid on its due date
  • Filling all examination boards POs, invoices & supporting documents for further P2P process audit.
  • Report & Process all Exams Board Fee accruals on SAP after verifying with operational Managers Finance Manager & according to approval limits in DA.
  • Report & Process All Exams Agency income/Board fee accruals on SAP according to the agreed process for these kinds of expenditures.
  • Validate discount / free places transactions during preparing reconciliations to ensure all exams discount are in line with discount policy.
  • Provide support to the Egypt Finance and Exams teams in all of the above areas, as directed by Exams Finance Manager. 
  • Review and issue the monthly VS Payroll.
 

Risk Management and Audit


  • Support in internal and external audit review by furnishing appropriate documentary evidences, approvals and explanations within close timelines.
  • Assist in the implementation of audit recommendations. 
  • Ensure compliance with finance policy.

About You (essential requirements for the role):


•    2 years of experience in finance
•    Understanding of financial accounting and reporting
•    Good knowledge of Microsoft office applications
•    Advanced level in Excel
•    Analysing Data & Problems as systematic & uses data  
•    Excellent spoken and written Arabic, English at B2 level


Desirable requirements for the role


•    Part / Full qualified with a recognized accounting body is desirable
